Dear Friends of the San Fernando Valley Patriots, This early calendar edition targets civic education and learning. Just a note that we publish events, meetings or classes by conservative-Constitutional groups TWICE monthly, but only if we get your announcement. Please send firstname.lastname@example.org and we will publish all suitable entries. Meanwhile, here’s the early crop of July …
Our program theme this year is “Citizen Voices, Civic Charities,” where we pair guest and keynote speakers to offer original insight on civic/cultural issues or introduce California charities, which serve local communities, but lack a national footprint.
Meetings are from 2 to 4 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month at Marie Callender’s Restaurant & Bakery (Garden Room), 19310 Business Center Drive, Northridge, CA 91324; 818-993-0704. Free parking is behind the restaurant. The Garden Room has a separate side entrance between the parking lot and the main entrance.
SPEAKERS: We offer a token honorarium AND a meal to dine-in or take-out. (Banquet menu choices include: 1 of 3 entrees, cornbread, beverages and pie wedge.)
Guest speakers: 2:30 to 3 p.m.; Keynote speaker: 3 to 4 p.m. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to speaking time. We can reserve up to 2 seats per speaker.
We recommend a low-tech presentation without amplified sound due to the intimate size, acoustics and shape of the Garden Room. Abundant ceiling and window light impedes power-point visibility. We provide a podium and display table (booklets, handouts, CDs, DVDs etc.). We can arrange space for book-signing/sales. Seating capacity is 45.
